Steeped in story: footy x coffee
limited-edition roast
Coffee. Culture. Conversation.
Speedy Turtles FC is about more than the game, it’s about building culture around women’s soccer and creating moments where fans feel connected, inspired, and seen. With Portrait Coffee, a Black-owned Atlanta roastery rooted in storytelling and community, we saw an opportunity to create a boundary-breaking collaboration that connected the craft of coffee with the culture of the game. We centered the partnership around a limited-edition coffee blend that we curated together and a launch born directly into the community it was speaking to.
Our goal: Celebrate identity, spotlight the women breaking barriers in both coffee and footy, and create a cultural conversation that goes beyond the pitch.
The Coffee
The Coffee
We teamed up with our ATL fam @portraitcoffee to bring a limited edition coffee to life that’s bigger than just a brew.
Produced in Colombia by Sara Tobón.
Roasted in ATL by our friends at Portrait Coffee.
Brewed with purpose, and powered by our community.
Together, we uplifted women rewriting the game, both on the field and in the coffee. From the streets of ATL to the mountains of Colombia, from Atlanta to Cary. This is how we fueled the Speedy Turtles Era.

One of Atlanta’s most beloved roasters. An Atlanta staple beloved for pouring a new narrative in coffee. One that uplifts black and brown producers, storytellers, and communities from bean to brew. Rooted in our shared mission to honor identity, uplift community, and champion underrepresented voices, together we served more than just coffee. We fueled connection, culture, and conversation. A partnership proudly born in ATL and shared with the world.

At 29, Sara is breaking barriers as one of the youngest women producers in Portrait Coffee’s network. Biomedical engineer by day and coffee producer by heart she spends her weekends on her family’s farm. incolombia honoring the traditions passed down by her father and grandfather. With every batch she processes, Sara is not just crafting excellent coffee, she’s championing the future of women in coffee and agriculture. Can we sip to that!?

The Launch
We celebrated the launch of our coffee with a cultural storytelling event, bringing together soccer fans, creatives, and the local community to celebrate craft, culture, and empowerment in one activation. This wasn’t just a coffee launch, it was a living, breathing intersection of sport and story. A night where culture, sport, and community collided.
For everybody in every space. In partnership with Peau de Loup, we created limited-edition, co-branded merch. Available for purchase, it was a tangible expression of inclusivity, expression, and breaking traditional barriers allowing everyone to take home a piece of the conversation.
